But, with the restrictions easing down we were able to make the Trip this March-April 2022.

We did our First trip to Paris in March-April 2022.

We did everything quickly ( Just that we dint want the Covid restrictions back again , we were seriously keen to travel this time ) We Got our Flight Tickets , Got our Accomodation Booked and did the Ready to fly verifications and Viola .. We are in Paris

Many travellers return to Paris on a regular basis because I’m sure they love the city. 

It’s enticing for a variety of reasons, including the incredible culinary adventures available, the lens into history provided by its architecture and art museums, Operas,  the walkability and world-class shopping. 

There is a lot to see and do in Paris, and first-time visitors may struggle to fit it all in.

1.Seine river cruise

Embark on a Seine river cruise

This is amazing….Consider taking a romantic cruise along the Seine as the sun sets on your first night. 

Booking a cruise with commentary or even a full-blown dinner cruise that includes drinks, a meal, and musical entertainment are both options available to travellers. 

A river trip on the Seine is included in some ticket packages, such as select Big Bus options and The Paris Pass. 

Alternatively, tickets can be purchased individually. An evening trip on the Seine may be particularly stunning, as the city lights up all around you. 

In addition, it is excellent to sail during the day. It is all up to you.

2.Visit the Eiffel Tower

It’s nearly impossible to visit Paris without catching a glance of the Eiffel Tower, and it’s well worth the effort to go up close and personal with it. 

You can avoid standing in line by purchasing a ticket in advance or purchasing admittance as part of a package. 

Explore the Esplanade on the ground floor of the tower when you arrive. 

The information desk, a sculpture by Gustave Eiffel, and the hydraulic equipment from 1899, which are still in use to run the elevators, can all be found in this area. 

Restaurants and gift shops are also available on the premises. 

Visitors to the tower can ascend to the first story (which features a glass floor and shops and restaurants), the second floor (from which they can see the cityscape and many of its landmarks while dining at The Jules Verne Restaurant), and the top floor for stunning views. 

In addition to the fact that it is 276 metres above ground, there is a Champagne bar on the top level, which adds to the joyful atmosphere.

Our fave way of seeing Paris was Hop-On-Hop off bus tour . I know its kind of Touristy but we loved it .

3.Ride on Tuk tuk

We had a wonderful time in Paris 2022 trip, from manufacturing our own perfume to taking a hot air balloon ride.  

Taking a Tuktuk tour of Paris was an enjoyable way to get a feel for the city and discover some lesser-known attractions that we otherwise might have missed.

We prioritise unique experiences, authenticity, and food in our travel budget as a family.

We’re not there to shop, visit tacky tourist sights, or eat at the same places we can get at home. 

We’re here for a completely different experience.

That’s why, while planning our recent family holiday in Paris, I searched for unique events that would allow us to get an authentic view of the city.

4.Get acquainted with the city by taking a hop-on, hop-off sightseeing bus.

The temptation to check into your hotel on the first day of your trip, and sleep off the jet lag, may exist depending on where you’re travelling from. 

Please do not do that! 

Instead, make a conscious effort to get outside and begin exploring your surroundings. 

A convenient method to do so is to board one of the city’s hop-on, hop-off sightseeing buses, which operate throughout the day. 

It’s possible that you’re not a fan of this form of exploration, but here are some reasons why sightseeing bus tours are fantastic. 

A number of businesses, notably Big Bus, provide tours along a number of different routes. 

You can either ride the entire circuit without getting off or, if you have the energy, you can hop on and off as you like throughout. 

We recommend that you ride for a while and then stop for a cup of coffee and a croissant.

5.Visit the Louvre

The Louvre is a hit with everyone – even those who don’t generally appreciate visiting art galleries. 

Everything from the architecture of the building itself, to the art (don’t simply look at the Mona Lisa and then go), the adjacent Tuileries Garden, the Carrousel du Louvre mall beneath the gardens, as well as the surrounding Saint Honore and Place Vendome, is worth seeing and experiencing. 

(Stop at Angelina on Rue Rivoli for some delicious pastries and hot chocolate before continuing on your journey.)

Because the museum is so large, you won’t be able to see everything in a single visit, so plan on returning for a second visit if you have time!

Visits during the day and at night are recommended. Monday through Thursday, the museum is open until 9:45 pm. 

Friday and Saturday, the museum is open until 10:00 pm. Arrive around 6 p.m., and the crowds will be far smaller than they will be otherwise. 

Additionally, download the museum’s app ahead of time so that you can choose which galleries you’d like to visit.

6.Be Prepared to walk a lot in Paris

We had recently returned from a trip to Paris where we walked a lot, approximately 10 kilometres a day on average. 

You can go almost anyplace at a comfortable and relaxed speed. 

The Jardin du Luxembourg Gardens, where there are comfortable seats for lounging and relaxing around the enormous ponds, Situated  in between the Latin Quarter and Saint-Germain-des-Prés on the left bank, the Jardin du Luxembourg is more like an Italian garden than the frigid northern European city it shares its name with is one of the best places to stoll.

Visit  Parc des Buttes-Chaumont It’s possible that the enormous, romantic-style Buttes-Chaumont Park is the city’s most ignored park (at least by tourists), taking up a considerable part of the northeastern territory linking the 19th and 20th districts (districts). 

With its stunning green slopes, manmade lakes and grottoes, hundreds of trees (including invasive colonies of green parrots!), 1.5 miles of winding walkways, and various kinds of wild birds, this is certainly one of the most beautiful sites in the city for a leisurely stroll or picnic.

I really enjoyed simply sitting and people-watching outside the Eiffel Tower. 

Walking along the Champs de Mars, sitting on a seat in the park, and people-watching are all options in the vicinity of the Eiffel Tower. 

Both of the latter two pass by some significant locations, and you can at least get a glimpse of them. 

Just about every little outside any café is ideal for people watching, and there is no lack of such establishments around the city of Paris. 

The Tuileries, a sprawling park adjacent to the Louvre, symbolises Parisian grandeur and affluence. 

When the gardens of Queen Catherine de Medici were first built, the area was known as twee-luh-rEEh because of the tile factory that had located here.

Just remember to take it leisurely and enjoy the magnificent architecture and scenery everywhere you go, and I’m certain that you will have a wonderful day with your partner.

Note: ladies , get rid of your High heels for the walks. use comfy shoes or runners instead

7.Take a stroll down the Champs-Elysees.

Even if you don’t generally shop for designer labels, you shouldn’t pass up the opportunity to take a stroll down the famous Champs-Elysees in the 8th arrondissement. Located between the Place de la Concorde and the Arc de Triomphe, this retail boulevard features boutiques such as Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., and Guerlain, among others.

8.Take a look at the Arc de Triomphe.

An iconic structure in Paris, the Arc de Triomphe, located at the western end of the Champs-Elysees, is one of the city’s most well-known landmarks. 

Those who fought and died during the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars are commemorated by this monument. 

Located in the Place Charles de Gaulle, the building marks the meeting point of the 16th, 17th, and 8th arrondissements in the city of Paris.

9.Take a tour of the Palais Garnier.

In Paris, there are a plethora of beautiful old structures to explore. 

If you appreciate architecture, you should take a tour of the Palais Garnier (Opera Garnier) in the 9th arrondissement, or at the very least walk by it. Its construction, which took place between 1861 and 1875, was ordered by Emperor Napoleon III. 

Because of its historical significance, the structure served as the setting for Gaston Leroux’s novel “The Phantom of the Opera,” published in 1910. 

Dozens of artisans worked on the interior and exterior of the building during the construction period. 

Take in the Grand Foyer, the Grand Staircase, and the amazing statues by Gumery that are situated atop the structure to get a sense of the place. 

Tours of this magnificent structure are available both on your own and with a tour guide. 

Remember that the InterContinental Paris-Le Grand is only a few minutes’ walk from the Opéra Garnier and the Palais Garnier. 

If you haven’t had the pleasure of visiting a Parisian cafe yet, stop by the hotel’s Cafe de la Paix.

10.Visit Notre Dame, even if you are unable to go inside.

Notre Dame Cathedral was destroyed by fire in April of this year. 

Despite the fact that the spire and a portion of the roof fell, 400 firefighters were able to salvage the cathedral’s two main bell towers as well as its facade. 

Although the damage was substantial, tours of the structure are not now permitted due to the ongoing restoration efforts. 

Nonetheless, you should take the time to examine the building’s outside.

11.At the Moulin Rouge, take in a performance.

Visit Montmartre during the day to view the Sacre-Coeur and then return in the evening to witness a cabaret performance at the Moulin Rouge if you have time. 

There are stunning showgirls, fabulous costumes, incredible stage design, music, and more to be found in this production. 

Even if you’re not a fan of these types of shows, going to see one when visiting the city for the first time is somewhat of a rite of passage.

12.Don’t forget about DisneyLand Paris!

Well, I can’t say enough. Its one of the best things we did in Paris!.

Disney’s Disneyland Paris is a popular tourist destination in Europe, thanks to its enchanting ambience, exciting rides, and entertaining shows, as well as its convenient position near the city of Paris. 

It is a wonderful spot to visit whether you are planning a lengthy journey to Disneyland Paris or a day excursion from Paris or London.

The Disneyland Paris theme park is located in Marne-la-Vallée, a municipality 40 kilometres east of the city of Paris. 

Located in the heart of Marne-la-Vallée are the two Disneyland Paris theme parks, as well as the Disneyland Paris hotels and a retail mall.

In Paris and France, the predominant language spoken is French, which is the official language of the country.

 Disneyland Paris, on the other hand, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, and the entire Disney personnel is fluent in English. 

The shows and parades of Disneyland Paris are presented in a variety of languages, including English.

Money in France is the euro, usually known as EUR (€), which is the country’s official currency.

13.See Eiffel Tower in the night

This is Mint! The lights and glitters of the Tower are a sight to behold.
The first time the Iron Lady donned her golden raiment was on December 31, 1985, and it was an immediate success. 

The 336 yellow-orange spotlights that make up the structure are built into the building itself and serve two purposes: they draw attention to the Eiffel Tower’s exquisite structure while also ensuring that it operates safely at night.

In the past, the Eiffel Tower was illuminated by a far greater number of external projectors. 

It has always been illuminated after dark, initially with gas lights before being converted to electricity.

When will the lights and sparkles be switched on and off?

The projectors are activated automatically by sensors that detect the arrival of dusk. 

The sparkling lights are overlaid over the golden lights for 5 minutes at the start of each hour until 1 am, with the sparkling lights being superimposed over the golden lights.

A word to the wise for those who like to stay up late: the last glittering lights at 1 am have a particular little feature: the golden lights are turned off and the Tower is left to dazzle for only 10 minutes!

14.Shop on the streets of Paris

When you think of Paris, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Is it the Eiffel Tower? Many people are drawn to France because of its awesome architecture, museums, and, of course, its fashion & Style. 

Paris is well-known for being one of the world’s fashion capitals, and this is reflected in the fantastic shopping available there. 

So, without further ado, here is our list of the top ten retail streets in Paris.

Rue Saint-Honoré is one of the longest retail avenues in Paris, stretching all the way from the Palais Royal to the Place Vendôme. 

It is also one of the most visited. Known for its extensive array of designer boutiques as well as some of the city’s most luxurious hotels, this upmarket strip is a must-see. 

If you’re seeking to do some designer shopping or simply want to take in some eye-catching window displays, this is an excellent spot to begin your search!

Les Halles is a shopping mall in Paris.

This newly-renovated shopping district, which is located between Chatelet and Etienne Marcel and is closed to automobiles, is a local favourite for a day of window shopping and window shopping. 

Les Halles, formerly the city’s largest fresh market, has been renovated into a three-story modern shopping complex with entertainment and dining options. 

The chances are strong that you’ll find what you’re looking for at Les Halles, whether you’re looking for gadgets, furniture, clothes, shoes, or a one-of-a-kind present. 

There are also numerous restaurants, a theatre, and even a gym on the premises.

15.Walk on Alleys of Paris and find some good Eateries

There are more than 45,000+ eateries in the French capital, so how in the world are you meant to know where to begin your culinary explorations? 

We understand that finding a great restaurant to eat might be difficult in Paris, right .

Whether you’re looking for an unforgettable night out with friends, a quick lunch spot to grab on the way to work, a renowned junk food fix, or a tasting menu that costs more than three figures.

And how did we narrow them down to a manageable number?

My tip is to walk around the alleys. we just did that in our recent Trip to Paris and found out some amazing eateries our selves. There is no need to Opt for any recommendations because you need to figure out what you like the best.

16. See Louis Vuitton Foundation Structure

Designed by the world-renowned architect Frank Gehry, the Foundation Louis Vuitton, with its shapes that include dazzling clouds, futuristic sailing ships, and even frozen icebergs, represents the best of contemporary art and culture in the twenty-first century. 

Located in the middle of a sea of concrete buildings from the nineteenth century, this complex is a breath of fresh air – quite literally, as it reflects the colour of the surrounding environment, whether it is dark and overcast or brilliant and blue. 

What ever the weather conditions are outside or inside, the structure is stunning

17. Visit the Lock Bridge

It is customary to ‘lock bridge’ on the bridges over the Seine River in Paris, and it is a form of tradition or ritual that is followed. 

Inscribe their names on padlocks, lock them to the bridge, and toss the keys into the river to symbolise their commitment to one another. 

The rite represents love that has been sealed for all time. Isn’t that the definition of romance at its finest?

18. Sail up to Montmartre and visit the Sacre-Coeur Basilica.

It’s understandable that tourists throng to Butte Montmartre, which is the city’s highest point and the site of the Basilica de la Sacré-Coeur, or Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris. 

This Roman Catholic church in Paris’s 18th arrondissement is one of the city’s most popular tourist destinations. 

The Romano-Byzantine structure is stunning, and it contains an incredible pipe organ. 

The views from the basilica are also breathtaking, and it is well worth a visit. 

A funicular will carry you up to the top of the domed church. 

Although you are welcome to visit the church for free, if you wish to ascend the steps to the dome, you will be required to purchase a ticket.

19. Visit Luxembourg Gardens

Luxembourg Gardens are located in Paris.
From $23.13 per person,

Luxembourg Gardens, which were inspired by the Boboli Gardens, are a green oasis in the centre of mostly-grey Paris. 

Gardens surrounded by magnificently designed gardens and stunning fountains, with tree-lined promenades and healthy, rich green grass adorning the grounds.

 Luxembourg gardens offer a pleasant respite from the hustle and bustle of a bustling metropolis, and there are numerous activities to keep you occupied.

 The gardens have been converted into a living artwork by some of Paris’s most talented landscape designers. 

Amid the monuments of French nobility and mythological gods, as well as some enchanting settings, such as the smaller Luxembourg Gardens, the Luxembourg Gardens are a popular destination.

20. Visit Mouffetard Market

The Rue Mouffetard Market is located in Paris’ fifth arrondissement. 

An entire street has been transformed into an open-air marketplace. 

In Paris, it is one of the city’s oldest and busiest streets. Rue Mouffetard and Rue de Lacepede meet in the middle of the street at Place de la Contrescarpe. 

The southern end of the street, the Square Saint Medard, has a year-round outdoor market.

All traffic is restricted to pedestrians on the middle section of Rue Mouffetard. 

Because you don’t have to worry about drivers, it’s a more safer location to walk, and you can explore the shops on the other side of the road at your own pace.

You’ll have a blast perusing the many stores and restaurants, and the bustling atmosphere is only heightened by the excellent street entertainment.

Mont Sainte Genevieve, or Mont Cetardus as it was known in Roman times, may be seen from Rue Mouffetard. 

This hill is claimed to have given the street its name, and it has been referred to by many different names over the years.

Don’t Forget to Take Out Travel Insurance.This is a must, of you are travelling from Australia. As Aus and France do not have the reciprocal medical agreements  between them.

Check your country has any such agreements with France. You can get help with costs for medically necessary care when you visit any of those countries.

This includes:

• Emergency care
• Care for an illness or injury that can’t wait till you get home.

You still need to get your own travel health insurance.

Travel insurance will protect you against a variety of risks, including illness, accident, theft, and cancellations of plans. 

It provides full protection in the event that something goes wrong. 

Given that I’ve never had to use it in the past, But, I never travel without it.  I did my family travel Insurance with Allianz , make sure that it is comprehensive and also check if they have covid cancellation cover as well
